Hi to all 24x7 dialup clients!
Great news! Improved service coming soon. 24x7 dialup clients are all moving to a more stable service with better download and time before the end of June. In our continued quest to give you better and better service, 24x7 dialup Clients are all moving to a different server before the end of the month of June 2007. Very little need be done, except to make a slight change in your dialup (phone number) and your email (add to the SMTP settings). You can keep your 24x7 email address, but there are some things you need to be aware of. First, know that from now on we will have ONE plan: FairGoCom dialup. All clients will now have unlimited download and unlimited time. 4-hour sessions with immediate redial if needed. A local call anywhere in Australia. It will be $19.95/month, charged monthly at the beginning of the month. A real Fair Go for all. Do not change your settings until we have spoken with you and made sure your account is set up properly on the new server. New Settings: Dialin Number is 0198 307 079 Username is the same as before, but change the domain to fairgocom.net (if it was 'username@24x7.net.au', it is now 'username@fairgocom.net') Password is the same as at present Email: if you use 24x7.net.au email via a regular email client (like Outlook Express) your POP settings (to get mail) stay the same. You should alter your SMTP settings slightly (sending mail). You now need authentication, with the username@fairgocom.net and the password you PRESENTLY are using. Webmail users: Until the switch, you can log in via the 24x7 site as usual Here. Once the change has occurred, you can log in via the link in the menu above [For Clients-->Webmail-->24x7.net.au]. Mail stored on the server WILL BE LOST in the move. We recommend you get your email off the server if you have been using webmail and there's something you want to keep. Use a regular email client like Outlook Express, Eudora, Pegasus Mail, Thunderbird, etc. for this. If you need it to be portable, we suggest you install the free Mozilla Thunderbird Portable to a USB stick. There is plenty of information and support available via that link. Another Mail Option: we can forward your 24x7 mail to another mailbox (say a Hotmail, Google or Yahoo etc. account) if you prefer. Support: You can now ring our regular number, 1300 666 247 to submit a support request. Rather than hang on the phone, leave your request in seconds, and we will call YOU back at our cost. You can also use the "Live Support" link on the left of most pages of the fairgocom.net.au site. STAY TUNED: Check back regularly to see the actual crossover date, since mail on that date will be interrupted, and there is the probability that some email will be delayed. Cheers until next time!
